PSW Sinfonietta
The Tartan Tempests are the South West’s premiere Scottish Fiddling group and was formed by Anne Speer in ______ as an answer to the growing number of adult students in the South West who were interested in learning violin, viola and cello.
The group of around 12 musicians focus on the toe tapping dance tunes of Scotland. These are lively and playable and quickly mastered by players from beginner level to around AMEB Grade 3. As their performance skills develop, more advanced players can progress to the Philharmonic South West Orchestra.
The friendly, social group has proved popular with audiences and performs at concerts, community events, shopping centres and festivals.
Currently Tartan Tempests meets twice a month on a Sunday from 11.30 to 1.00pm at the Eaton Bowling Club. For more information contact us at gidday@pswo.com.au
